So this is Me

Well here it goes. This is Me.

I am a college student on a mission. Currently, I am a biology education major at Purdue University striving to be an optometrist (I think) and hope to one day have a coffee shop too (check out the blog for it linked on my blog list). My ultimate goal is to help people in one way or another: whether that's teaching or entering the medical field, I am not sure yet. Maybe if this blog takes me somewhere, you all will find out too.

I come from a brokenly wonderful, unique family that I wouldn't trade for the world. My favorite thing to do is to relate to people, which can be both a good and a bad thing at times. Some things that I like that are a little more substantial: I love to craft, bake, be around friends, walk, travel... really I am up to try just about anything. I live for routine, weird I know, but it makes me much happier when I have a little bit of structure in my life. Granted, my day is not always as routine as I like to to be, but that is probably for the better. All of the things that I do will star on my blog I am sure, along with all the people I love.

In a nutshell, my life is normally ordinary (hence the title of my blog). However, I like the spice to my life just the same as anyone else, and I figure why not blog about it?  This way, I, one, can get my 20 points for "introducing myself in a unique way through technology" for my online class this summer, and two, document all the thoughts, feelings, crafts, adventures, and stories I take along this journey through my "last" year of undergrad.  Besides, student teaching classrooms and college are both places we all know are never normally ordinary, and yet both are for me, so maybe I will have a thing or two to post on here ;)

Bare with me as I try to figure this whole blog thing out. It's not as easy as it looks!
Thanks for reading,
